After a mooch around Superdrug earlier this week I spotted this nail varnish by Bourjois, I am a complete nail varnish junkie but have to admit that I always veer towards top end brands like Essie, china glaze, O.P.I, and Mavala, but I had seen this is polish floating around the blogosphere and wanted to see whether I could break my pricey habit and head to the high street, so during my latest trip I popped this gorgeous peachy colour into my basket, its called Bourjois 1 Seconde Nail Polish in Meli Melon and is £5.99 at Superdrug.
As soon as I got home I gave my nails a tidy up, (i don't know how they get so scraggy), then applied a Sally Hansen base coat then two coats of the 'Meli Melon', the application was really lovely, the brush was rather wide but easy to get used to, the nail varnish dried really quickly and i then applied Essie's 'good to go' quick dry top coat. I really loved the colour and the Gel finish (I have never used a Gel varnish before) but i did find that on day two it started to chip at the base of my nails which drives me crazy! I am going to have another go and try and make the layers slightly thinner, as i really liked the colour and it will be perfect for Spring and Summer. S.x
