Gandys - Flip Flops for the Summer

Hello Lovelies,

These Gandys flip flops arrived in the post the other day,  and as the warmer weather is starting to show its face (intermittently of course)I needed some new flip flops as everyone needs some trusty footwear to show off their perfectly manicured nails and lovely glowing tans during the summer months!

The brand was started by two young brothers who were orphaned by the Boxing Day Tsunami of 2004, the two brothers wanted to turn this awful tragedy into a positive.  To do this they created the Orphans for Orphans initiative, it was designed to ensure a brighter and happier future for orphans in less developed countries, giving them education, healthcare and the support that they deserve.  The two brothers want to open an orphanage in memory of their parents Kevin and Sandra Forkan by the end of 2014.  The opening of the first Gandys orphanage will mark the 10th anniversary of the Boxing Day tsunami.

While the preparations are being made to build their own orphanage Gandys is donating 10% of its profits to Mango Tree Goa in India, an organisation which helps children get an education and provides them with vital health-care and nutrition.  In one year of selling there flip flops Gandys has been able to fund supplies for one hundred children and fund their teacher for a whole year.

My Gandys are a gorgeous Barbados Blue in a UK size 5/6, they are a really comfortable flip flop with a thick sole that is both light weight and has good grip, so no going flying when it gets slippy underfoot.  The plaited strap makes the flip flop very comfortable and means they don't dig in between your toes.  I love the quality of these flip flops and think if you are going to pay for a quality flip flop then Gandys is the brand to go for as you will receive fabulous footwear and also be contributing to helping orphaned children.

I am Gandys Ambassador No:49

Is anyone else ready for summer?
